Be A Performer
The Western Maryland Blues Fest accepts press packets,
recordings, and other materials from artists interested in performing
at the Western Maryland Blues Fest. Due to the volume of materials
received, all submissions become the property of the City of Hagerstown/Western
Maryland Blues Fest and cannot be returned. Since the committee does
not respond to each individual submission, if you want notification
that your packet has arrived, please be sure to use some kind of
shipment tracking. Artist follow-up after submission is unnecessary,
and does not improve chances of selection.
The Western Maryland Blues Fest will contact those artists/agents
in whom it becomes interested. Lack of contact in the year of submission
does not preclude selection in future years.
Consideration of performers for each June's festival primarily occurs
in the Autumn of the preceding year (e.g. late Summer 2007 for Blues
Fest 2008, etc.) Some late placement of regional/local acts can occur
in January or February preceding the festival.
Artist bios, photos, press kits and demonstration recordings can
be sent to:

Thank you for your interest in the Western Maryland Blues Fest!
The Western Maryland Blues Fest serves up an annual community celebration
centered around one of America's most enduring musical forms-the
blues. Set amidst raw-boned guitar riffs and emotionally charged
vocals, the Blues Fest represents a unique "home-grown" partnership
between public and private concerns. and annually hosted by the City
of Hagerstown, the Western Maryland Blues Fest has mushroomed into
a critically acclaimed blues event in the mid-Atlantic region since
its modest inception in 1996.
